One of five British films featuring Chinese-American actress Anna May Wong Flame of Love (also known as Hai-Tang) was the star's first 'talkie' made during her stay in London in the early 1930s when Hollywood's proscription of love scenes between Asian and Caucasian actors deprived Wong of leading roles.
