Do you know of a film on a band that features Bill Wyman Ron Wood and Charlie Watts (it's not the Rolling Stones) - also features Kenny Jones and John Entwistle (and it's not The Who) - also features Ringo Starr (no - it's not The Beatles) plus a few other 'less well known' artists such as Andy Fairweather-Low Chris Rea Gary Brooker and Raf Ravenscroft (remember the Saxaphone solo in Baker Street?)... don't know? Well it's just got to be... Willie And The Poor Boys! This band in concert was filmed at the Fulham Town Hall London UK in 1985 and was a concept based on an original idea by Bill Wyman. This film is a real gem - unearthed by Classic Pictures from Bill Wyman's personal vault and will be a 'must have' for any collector of classic rock. Don't just think of The Wedding Singer as an Adam Sandler comedy--though it most certainly is that. But also think of it as the tip of the wave of the 1980s nostalgia craze. Set in the post-disco, new wave era, the film tells the story of Robbie Hart (Sandler), the king of small-town wedding-band singers, who once dreamt of being a rock star. His contentment with life shatters when his fiancée stands him up at the altar. After wallowing in self-pity (by musically attacking the next wedding couple he serenades) and swearing off women, he helps a new friend, Julia (Drew Barrymore), get ready for her impending nuptials--only to find himself falling in love with her. If you're a Sandler fan, you'll enjoy him as an actual adult, though a wise-cracking one. And dig all those kooky 80s reference jokes and that greatest-hits-of-early-MTV soundtrack. --Marshall Fine

Another pop band, another set of female celebrities, another fitness title, and this is all beginning to sound bland and forgettable. But The Girls from Liberty X--Toned is a cool surprise. With a beach location, a night setting, and club beats by Liberty X producers Gold Dust this dance-led workout has a lot going for it. Choreographer Kardy Laguda kicks straight into a funky warm up, while the three Liberty X girls concentrate on the moves rather than distracting with the usual inane celebrity comment. Dressed simply in trainers, shorts and tank tops, with hair pulled back (as it turns out to avoid going frizzy from the sea water splashes), they are perfect showcases for a workout that is more of a coordination challenge than a fitness marathon. The warm up builds up the sexy moves in preparation for the main workout. The pace ups significantly for the core session and, as Laguna throws in more and more moves and details, the non-dance literate could get lost. The final cool down is a chilled-out wind down with some good leg stretches. Whilst this isn't pitched at the serious fitness fanatic, it's certainly not one for the calorie counters lacking in body confidence. Enjoyable if you've got attitude. On the DVD: The Girls from Liberty X--Toned DVD features a behind-the-scenes extra that, in contrast to the cool, measured, funky night workout, reveals a down-to-earth working day. It's a chance to see the stunning Marbella location, the stage being built on the beach, and the girls taking the waves and the prospect of being soaked in their stride. You'll appreciate the workout more if you watch this first. --Lorna V
How do you like your blockbuster movies? If the answers loud, fast and full of big robots fighting, then youre well and truly in luck. For director Michael Bays take on Transformers, based on the toys of the same name, delivers just that. And with some style. The film stars the fast-rising Shia LaBeouf (Disturbia) as Sam, who discovers that his first car has a little more to it when it transforms into an Autobot robot called Bumblebee. Fortunately, the Autobots are the good guys, and following not far behind are a good number more, headed up by Optimus Prime. Against them are the less friendly Decepticons, with Megatron at the helm, and the two sides are set for a frenetic battle right in the middle of Planet Earth. Theres a plot sitting underneath all of this, but its pretty much given with the Transformers movie that its just a vehicle to get the film from one set piece to another. And theres little denying that the action sequences are spectacular. Boasting quite staggering special effects, the on-screen action moves with a pace and ferocity that sometimes makes it hard just to keep up with it all, as mighty robots engage is some quite staggering fights. Its quite an achievement. Paving the way for an already-in-production sequel, Transformers has little pretensions about what its going to do, and is all the better for it. This is a film about big robots, big fights, big effects and, ultimately, big, dumb grin-inducing fun. What, really, is there not to like? --Jon Foster
