The message, that even the humblest have a place in creation, is a worthy one, but in Doggy Poo the main character whines constantly, and the story unfolds at a leaden pace. Parents who find Doggy Poo acceptable viewing for young children--clearly the intended audience--may have to steer their kids away from the genuine article. --Charles Solomon
