Found-footage sci-fi thriller. The film follows a vacationing family to the area surrounding Brown Mountain in North Carolina where the appearance of strange lights have been reported for hundreds of years. When they arrive near their destination and find a number of abandoned cars by the roadside, the family begin to wonder where all the people might have gone. Leaving their own car to investigate, it isn't long before they become embroiled in an extraterrestrial nightmare...
