Hard-bitten Colonel 'Jack' O'Neil (Kurt Russell) and Egyptologist Doctor Daniel Jackson (James Spader) are sent on a mission to investigate the theory that the pyramids were built by shape-changing aliens as a means of communication and pan-galactic travel.
