Christopher Menaul directs this wartime drama produced by Bill Kenwright. Based on the true story of Louisa Gould, portrayed by Jenny Seagrove, the film follows the story of the inspirational woman who took an escaped Russian prisoner of war into her home on the Nazi-occupied island of Jersey. As it becomes apparent that the British Prime Minister has no intention of risking the rest of the UK coming under attack just to save the small island, Louisa and her fellow islanders realise they must join together in harmony if they are ever going to stand a chance of winning the war.
