A big-screen outing for the regular cast of the popular 1970s sitcom. The Abbott family (Sid James, Diana Coupland, Robin Askwith and Sally Geeson) are in a state of permanent feud with their neighbours the Baines (Terry Scott and June Whitfield). It soon transpires that the Abbott's son and the Baines' daughter are romantically involved, so the scene is set for sneaking around in spotty boxer-shorts, food-fights and chaotic dashes to the Church.

The feature-length comical adventures of the two generations of the Abbott family, beloved by television audiences since the 1970s. Two straightlaced suburbanites, Sid and Jean Abbott, try to deal with their more unconventional children from across the generation gap.
