Comedy directed by Matt Lipsey. When a corrupt parish council in rural Wales is awarded EU funding to pay for the cultural development of their town, the councillors embezzle the money on foreign holidays, home improvements and copious quantities of champagne. However, they soon live to regret their short-lived halcyon period when they are unexpectedly visited by the EU Cultural Commissioner and asked to produce one of the great Shakespearean plays for a highbrow festival in Brussels.
