Joel McCrea tells in flashback how he and a party of five men discover gold in a small Apache camp. They murder everyone except for one young woman who is kept alive in the hopes she'll lead them to more gold. An Apache brave who at the time was away from the camp returns to discover the massacre. After burying all the victims he sets out to track down the murderers and one by one he inflicts his vengeance upon them.
