Lee Marvin, Ernest Borgnine and Keith Carradine star in this US adventure drama. Set in Oregon at the height of the Great Depression, the film concerns itself with a small community of tramps who ride the railroads across the state. Borgnine stars as the sadistic railroad guard Shack who vows to kill any man stealing rides on his train.
