All ten episodes of the 1967 BBC adaptation of the classic novel by Charles Dickens. When young orphan Pip (Christopher Guard) encounters an escaped convict by the name of Magwitch (John Tate), he decides to help him by finding him some food and removing his shackles. As an adult, Pip (Gary Bond) receives an unexpected inheritance and finds himself surrounded by riches and home comforts. Along the way however, he loses touch with the kindness and compassion he once displayed as a child, replacing them with arrogance and contempt.
