Double bill of made-for-TV horror features adapted from novels. 'The Ferryman' (1974) is based on a story by Kingsley Amis and follows the young writer, Sheridan Owen (Jeremy Brett), as he heads to a country house to relax. However, a series of unusual events eventually cause the author to fear that he is trapped in the plot of his own horror novel. 'Haunted' (1974), based on the story by Elizabeth Taylor, follows an Edwardian governess, Florence Chasty (Lynne Miller), who is employed to take charge of Hilary Wilson (Matthew Pollock). Florence suffers from a series of terrifying visions while caring for Hilary and comes to believe that his family's house is haunted.
