With two workaholics for parents 12 year-old Jason can't remember the last time all the family had dinner together. To make matters worse Jason constantly hears how his friends' parents are divorcing. It's no wonder he mistakenly suspects his parents are splitting up when his dad announces he's leaving for a job interview in Chicago. In a hilariously misguided attempt to save his family Jason and his 14 year-old sister Celina follow dad to Chicago convinced that if Dad gets the job the family will split up.
