1950 drama set in North Africa during the Second World War about a French girl, Lilli Marlene (Lisa Daniely), who happens to be the original subject on which the song of the same name is based. The song being a particular favourite of the Nazis, when they come to occupy the town where Lilli lives, they capture her and try to force her to sing it in German. Under duress she agrees, but only when the Nazis make threats towards her parents. Even though British troops are on their way, Lilli still has dangers left to face.
Set in North Africa during World War II, LILLI MARLENE is the story of the titular girl, the daughter of an inn keeper whose premises become occupied by Nazis.
