With contrasting approaches, Juan (Javier Gutiérrez) and Pedro (Raúl Arévalo) must put aside their differences to hunt a predator who for years has terrorised a community rooted in misogyny and machismo. Spanish thiller directed by Alberto Rodríguez. Set in Southern Spain in 1980, two detectives from Madrid are sent to a town on the Guadalquivir Marshes to investigate the disappearance and possible murder of two teenage sisters. Upon arrival, detectives Pedro (Raúl Arévalo) and Juan (Javier Gutiérrez) believe the crime to be connected to a spate of similar killings which occurred in '77 and '78 around the same busy harvest period of the year. Although the two differing agents clash, they have no choice but to work together and race to solve their case and the wider, unravelling plot with little help from the locals in post-Franco Spain.
