Patric Knowles and Dorothy Lamour star in this 1940s comedy directed by Mitchell Leisen. While on a flight to Mexico City, banker Thomas Grant (Knowles) unwittingly becomes the fallback guy for Angel O'Reilly (Lamour), a smuggler working for Boris Cassal (George Rigaud). As Angel slips a smuggled diamond into Thomas's pocket, she manages to escape from Boris in the commotion at customs. Trying to make a new life for herself, Angel reinvents her identity as a singer in a club. When Thomas walks into the club one night however, Angel and her latest exploits run the risk of being exposed.
