Harold French directs this classic drama starring Dulcie Gray and Michael Denison. The film follows Jonathan Dakers (Denison), who, after the death of his father, starts work at a local GP - denying himself his lifelong ambition of becoming a surgeon. On top of this, when Jonathan's love interest, Edie Martyn (Beatrice Campbell), marries his brother Harold (Ronald Howard), it seems nothing can go as planned. But is that all about to change?
