Richard Gere stars in this drama written and directed by Joseph Cedar. President of the New York based Oppenheimer Strategies, Norman Oppenheimer (Gere) is a renowned fixer, relying purely on word-of-mouth to drive in new business and clients. He takes pride in introducing influencial people to each other for the mere mutual benefit it could provide. When he befriends young Israeli diplomat Micha Eshel (Lior Ashkenazi), Norman's life, unbeknown to him, would never be the same. Three years later, Eshel is elected Prime Minister of Israel and he calls upon his old friend Norman to act as a consultant and confidant. Always eager to please, Norman boasts of his acquaintance with the Prime Minster but when he starts making promises he cannot keep he finds that being in the inner circle of Israeli politics is not quite the perfect job he imagined. The all-star cast also includes Michael Sheen, Dan Stevens, Steve Buscemi and Hank Azaria.
