Peter Bogdanovich re-assembled the original cast of his classic 1971 ensemble drama `The Last Picture Show' (with the exception of Ellen Burstyn) for this long-awaited sequel, set in the same small town 30 years on. High school football team captain Duane Jackson (Jeff Bridges) is now a once-successful oil man locked in an unhappy marriage, while homecoming queen Jacy Farrow (Cybill Shepherd) has become a minor film star in Italy.
