The Cinema Hold Up (Asalto Al Cine) DVD

| DVD

Negus (Gabino Rodríguez), Chale (Juan Pablo de Santiago), Sapo (Ángel Sosa) and Chata (Paulina Avalos) are four teenagers growing up in the gritty, unforgiving streets of Mexico City. Under a numbing drone of hip-hop and a haze of marijuana, the friends spend most of their time fantasizing about a life they'll never have. When frustration and monotony take hold, the four plan to rob a movie theatre and reap the sweet rewards. It turns out the gang have much more of a penchant for criminality than they first imagined. In a rush for money and adrenaline, however, their... vital friendship will be pushed to its limits. The Cinema Hold Up is a fast, visceral portrayal of Mexican youth culture, as shrewd and sharp as the streets of Mexico City. [show more]
