Martin Sheen and Tony Musante star in this drama directed by Lance Peerce. When two knife-wielding rebels mug an old man on a Manhattan-bound subway train, the commotion causes panic amongst fellow travellers triggering a hostage situation in the carriage. As the thugs turn their attention to each passenger in turn, tormenting and bullying them, the selfish nature of human beings is shown as nobody stands up to defend, simply taking care of number one.
