A double bill of Westerns featuring the masked hero and his Native American sidekick Tonto. In 'The Lone Ranger' (1956), our eponymous hero (Clayton Moore), whilst keeping the peace in the Wild West, discovers a plan by evil cattle baron Reece Kilgore (Lyle Bettger) to deliberately start a war amongst the Native American population, so that in the aftermath he can expand his landholdings. Assisted by Tonto (Jay Silverheels), and Kilgore's young daughter, the Lone Ranger rides once more to the rescue, intent on helping the Indians and defeating Kilgore's plans. In 'The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold' (1958), three people have already been killed searching for the five medallions that, when brought together, reveal the location of the fabled City of Gold. The Lone Ranger and Tonto must race against time to save the men who have the other two medallions, before a mysterious killer can get to them.
