German drama following the lives of a married couple and their young daughter who reside in a small town. While police officer Uwe (David Zimmerscheid) is working, his wife Christine (Alexandra Finder) looks after their daughter Clara (Pia Kleemann/Chiara Kleemann), teaching her important life lessons. Christine also demonstrates an unwavering love for her husband, despite his violent outbursts. The story is told in 59 chapters which each differ in length.
