British drama based on the characters created by Arthur Conan Doyle in which a troubled, drug-using Sherlock Holmes (Robert Stephens) is in the pursuit of a missing engineer, after his desperate wife pleads him to investigate his disappearance. The cast includes Colin Blakely, Genevieve Page and Christopher Lee.

Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play. Sherlock Holmes' pursuit of a missing husband provides the pretext to explore sides of the sleuth's character which have remained hitherto unexplored in filmed versions of Arthur Conan Doyle's stories. Robert Stephens plays Holmes as a troubled man, addicted to cocaine and unsure about his sexuality.
