After the death of his father, Svyatoslav I, ruler of Kievan, the young Viking prince Vladimir of Novgorod is forced into exile across the frozen sea to escape his treacherous half-brother Yaropolk, who has murdered his older brother Oleg and conquered the Viking territory of Kievan. The old warrior Sveneld convinces Vladimir to assemble a Varangian armada, hoping to reconquer Norvgorod from Yaropolk.

Russian drama co-written and directed by Andrei Kravchuk. Set in the 10th century, the story follows young Viking prince Vladimir (Danila Kozlovsky) as he is exiled from the kingdom of Kievan Rus following the death of his father. With his traitorous half-brother Yaropolk (Aleksandr Ustyugov) seizing control of the territory, Vladimir is convinced by old warrior Sveneld (Maksim Sukhanov) to assemble a force capable of returning to Kievan Rus, overthrowing the tyrannical Yaropolk and returning power to the kingdom's rightful heir.
