A British actor, John (Ian Kelly) and his girlfriend, Margaret (Ingeborga Dapkunaite) are abducted by Chechen guerilla leader Aslan (Georgi Gurgulia) while on tour in Georgia. Aslan later sets John free to return to England to raise the cash to pay a hefty ransom for Margaret's life - but John struggles to find the necessary funds. He then meets up with a conscript who is desperate to save his colleague, also being held captive by Chechen rebels - and together the two men plan an all-out assault on the rebel stronghold.
