Natascha McElhone and James Frain star in this British romantic comedy. Just before her wedding to fiancé Graham (Valentine Pelka), London lawyer Kate Beckenham (McElhone) finds herself battling in the courtroom against Jack Sullivan (Frain), who has never lost a case. Kate is tasked with defending Gerald Burton (Charles Dance) whose father has just passed away and left his vast fortune to his young wife Mirella (Parker Posey). Although on opposite sides of the legal battle, Kate and Jack soon fall for each other which makes Kate take a different view of the case.
