Roy Rogers stars as the young Wild Bill Hickok in this classic western tale. As the American Civil War threatened to destroy a nation some saw the troubles as a means to line their own pockets by stealing land and gold. With the help of Calamity Jane and her uncle Gabby Hickok must transport a shipment of gold across the country but when the gold is stole Hickok is blamed for the robbery. Now he must face down a posse called the Overland Raiders lead by the outlaw Morrell.
