Beyond the realm of human desire there is a darkness... A horror film like no other Possession is an intense shocking experience that was banned in the UK as a 'video nasty'. With its dark subject matter and high gore quotient it's not for the faint hearted. With their marriage in pieces Anna and Mark's tense relationship has become a psychotic descent into screaming matches violence and self-mutilation. Believing his wife's only lover is the sinister Heinrich Mark is unaware of the demonic tentacled creature that Anna has hidden away for liaisons in a deserted apartment and will stop at nothing to protect. Written and directed by Andrzej uawski Possession is a deeply unsettling experience aided by the horrific special effects of the great Carlo Rambaldi (Deep Red Close Encounters Alien). The film though banned on video was nominated for a BAFTA and the Palme d'Or and Adjani's astonishing performance earned her Best Actress awards at the Cannes Film Festival and the French Cesars.

Beginning with the 1997 cult classic that rocked movie-goers and encouraged a new generation of thrill-seekers to avoid a backpacking trip to the wilds of Latin America, the ANACONDA series hits BluRay from 88 Films with each film restored in gloriously gory HD. For the original film, starring Oscar winner Jon Voight (MIDNIGHT COWBOY), pop sensation J-Lo, Ice Cube (THREE KINGS), Eric Stoltz (PULP FICTION) and Owen Wilson (ZOOLANDER), audiences were introduced to a group of hunted and helpless explorers who encounter a legendary giant reptile whilst sailing upstream in the legendary wilds of Colombia's epic rainforest. ANACONDA wrapped itself around audiences over two decades ago and is sure to slither its way into the hearts of horror buffs of a new generation. For ANACONDAS: THE HUNT FOR THE BLOOD ORCHID (2004), the veteran fear-filmmaker Dwight Little (HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS) gave audiences not just one giant carnivorous serpent but an entire gang of them! Adding even more fright to the formula, the sequel ups the stakes of survival - and was followed by ANACONDA 3: OFFSPRING (2008) in which cult legend David Hasselhoff (STARCRASH) attempts to avoid becoming a snake snack whilst discovering that scientific misdeeds has resulted in the creation of an inflated and very dangerous new forked-tongue antagonist. Finally comes ANACONDAS: TRAIL OF BLOOD (2009), headlined by the great John Rhys-Davis (LORD OF THE RINGS) and packing-in more squish and screams than ever before!! ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST returns the great Ian McCulloch (CONTAMINATION) to the screen as one of Italian horror cinema’s most likeable heroes. Unfortunately though McCulloch is once again placed in a luckless situation: arriving on a Caribbean island full of arisen innards-hungry undead denizens. Adding to his anguish is a tribe of peckish cannibals – and rest assured they have still not learned how to cook their dinner properly… or picked up any table manners! Also known as DOCTOR BUTCHER MD and expertly directed by the late Marino Girolami ZOMBI HOLOCAUST transplants two of Rome’s finest fright templates into one entrails laden entity. Indeed as the title suggests this legendary grindhouse gem is a macabre mix of CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST and ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS – offering the primitive barbeques of the former flick with the more supernatural suspense of the latter frightener. Is there anything scarier than clowns? Of course not. And who knows scary better than Stephen King? You see where we're going. It puts a malevolent clown (given demented life by a powdered, red-nosed Tim Curry) front and center, as King's fat novel gets the TV-movie treatment. Even at three hours plus, the action is condensed, but an engaging Stand by Me vibe prevails for much of the running time. The seven main characters, as adolescents, conquered a force of pure evil in their Maine hometown. Now, the cackling Pennywise is back, and they must come home to fight him--or, should we say, It--again. Admitting the TV-movie trappings and sometimes hysterical performances, this is a genuinely gripping thriller. As so often with King, the basic idea (the bond formed during a childhood trauma) is clean and powerful, a lifeline anchored in reality that leads us to the supernatural. --Robert Horton
