| RRP Our war saga begins in 1914. The world was dominated by the European powers. When the heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary was assassinated that spark touched off a catastrophic conflict. Attempts to break the deadlock by frontal machine gun assaults led to enormous casualties and the development of new more horrific weapons. On the battlefield massed artillery gas and the introduction of the tank gave the war a new dimension. In the air the advent of the bomber brought civilians face to face with the realities of a modern war. At sea the submarine disrupted shipping and put entire countries in peril. After two and a half years the war ground to a bloody stalemate. Finally on April 6 1917 President Woodrow Wilson declared war on Germany and the American Expedition Forces (A.E.F.) were on the way 'over there'. By November 1918 about 9 million allied soldiers sailors and airmen had lost their lives. This authentic film documentary gives you a view of the first of the century's truly global wars. Most historians agree that the A.E.F. turned the tide of battle from possible defeat into allied victory on the western front.

I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch) For over half a century the legendary soul group The Four Tops entranced music fans with their special brand of stage and recorded studio magic. Original members Levi Stubbs Renaldo 'Obie' Benson Lawrence Payton and Abdul 'Duke' Fakir first sang together in Detroit in 1954 calling themselves The Four Aims. Two years later they changed their name to The Four Tops and the rest is popular music history. As a live attraction The Four Tops attracted capacity audiences wherever they appeared in concert around the world. The original line-up performed together for 44 years until Lawrence Payton's death in 1997. Sadly soon afterwards lead singer Levi Stubbs had to retire from the band because of ill health and Renaldo Benson died in 2005. The Four Tops continued under the astute musical leadership of original founder member Abdul 'Duke' Fakir who recruited Roquel Payton (the son of founder member Lawrence Payton) Theo Peoples (formerly with The Temptations and who took over lead vocals) and Ronnie McNair. This DVD captures this particular line-up of The Four Tops at their electrifying best reprising all the evergreen hits in concert. It includes a brief emotional appearance by former lead singer Levi Stubbs. As a slice of soul music history this definitive concert performance is a tremendous reminder of the perennial music of The Four Tops.
