21 Jump Street stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as old school buddies; nerdy Morton Schmidt and popular student Greg Jenko. They meet up again at Police academy, become partners but are considered to be disastrously underperforming; completely botching up their first big break. Due to their boyish appearances they are assigned a special mission - to return to their old high school posing as teenage brothers in order to investigate and expose a brutally violent high school synthetic drug ring to prevent it from infiltrating other schools. The lads encounter severe difficulties settling back into their old haunt, finding themselves once again experiencing the pain, suffering and unease that accompanies their involuntarily rekindled teenage angst.
This 2012 action comedy was based on a 1987 TV series of the same name. It was directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
