Midnight in Paris was directed by Woody Allen. The film had its debut at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and was an early favourite for a possible Best Picture Oscar nomination for the 2012 awards.

This Rom-com follows the story of Gil and Inez, a young American couple who travel to Paris as tourists along with Inez's parents who are there on a business trip. Gil, a disenchanted Hollywood writer, falls totally in love with Paris and finds that just being there and strolling through the streets at night fills him with inspiration and refuels his failing literary creativity. Allowing himself to be transported into his own fantasy world of 1920's Bohemian Paris, Gil decides he would like to live in Paris when he and Inez are married. He has been completely drawn into his own daydream, totally convinced that this very different life would be preferable to their own in the USA, but will this lifestyle suit the beautiful Inez who would be more suited to modern day Malibu?
