To simply call 'P.S I love you' a 'standard chick flick' is criminal. This film has hidden depths, its story is intelligent, its characters believable and it leaves you looking deep into your own life and relationships and finding a new appreciation for them.
Hilary Swank plays the part of a young woman who becomes widowed when her husband passes away from a brain tumour. Knowing her better than she knows herself, he leaves her 10 letters, delivered over a year, which are intended to ease her pain and help her move on with her life.
This film tugs at your heart strings with its engrossing story and fantastic and convincing performances from Swank and Gerard Butler (the husband). But whatever you do, make sure you have the tissues at the ready - it's a tear-jerker! In fact, I haven't cried so much at a film since Ghost!

I thought this film was amazing.
It really touched my heart. I was crying the whole way through. If Only Guys were like that. I went to watch this at the cinema with my mum and one of my girlfriends, and they were crying too, but apprently i was sobbing my heart out.
I love this film, definatley one for the chick flick collection. It was an amazing film and definatley recommend it.
Hope you lot enjoy it.

Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler playing Holly and Gerry work brilliantly making their relationship believable and the acting very credible. A definite five star film and I would recommend it highly for an audience looking for a different style of chic-flick but don"t forget the tissues!

I would have to say this is one of my favourite films!I went to the pictures to see it and i loved it. Its one of those films you cant stop thinking about, and cant wait until it comes out on dvd.This film as everything you need it makes you laugh,makes you cry. If you like weepies and comedy chick flicks this is the film for you!
