Ever since Kurimi (Yôko Hikasa)'s boyfriend passed away in a tragic plane accident, she has been in mourning and living a reclusive life. This all changes when her boyfriend's place is taken by a robot named Hal (Yoshimasa Hosoya) and Kurimi is forced to disregard her reservations and yield to the company of the robot.
