Not On Your Nellie: The Complete Series DVD

From the star of Nearest and Dearest comes Not On Your Nellie - one of the major comedy successes of the 1970s. When blunt Northerner Nellie Pickersgill (Hylda Baker) is summoned down to London to look after her ailing father she isn't expecting to have to look after his pub as well - it's not the ideal situation for a teetotaller who can't abide drinkers! This set contains all three series, the last of which was cut short to just four episodes when Hylda Baker broke her ankle during recording. SPECIAL FEATURES: Nearest and Dearest: Far from the Madding Pong ... A bonus episode of the hit predecessor to Not on Your Nellie, starring Hylda Baker with Jimmy Jewell. [show more]

All 17 episodes of the sitcom created by Roy Bottomley and Tom Brennand, starring Hylda Baker. When Nellie (Baker)'s father becomes too poorly to run his pub in Chelsea anymore, he enlists the help of his middle-aged daughter. Nellie however is teetotal and quite unimpressed at the prospect of managing a pub. She does her best to keep her patrons in order, but Nellie is in for a task more demanding than even she had anticipated. The episodes are: 'Nellie Comes to Town', 'Something in the Night', 'The Anniversary Present', 'The Restless Spirit', 'The Apartment', 'Bring On the Dancing Girls', 'The Wind of Change', 'Brief Encounter', 'High Society', 'Requiem for a Heavyweight', 'Do Unto Others', 'The Lady With the Lamp', 'Feeling the Draught', 'Be Prepared', 'A-Haunting We Will Go', 'The French Correction' and 'Called to the Bar'.
